Adrien Rabiot’s Agent Hints at Manchester United Move Amid Premier League Interest
Adrien Rabiot, the 29-year-old French midfielder, is a free agent after being released by Juventus earlier this summer. And, according to a fresh report, his agent has already hinted at the Premier League team he would prefer to join.
Rabiot’s mother, Veronique, revealed that they have an excellent working relationship with Manchester United, which could give them an edge in the transfer market. "We are on excellent terms with Manchester United," she said.
The Saudi Pro League have made Rabiot a massive offer, but he’s not interested in leaving Europe. Turkish duo Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have also been linked with his services, while Bayern Munich and AS Monaco have held talks but haven’t tabled a firm offer. AC Milan backed away after refusing to meet his demands.
Manchester United, however, are thought to be interested in acquiring Rabiot as midfield cover for the season amid Casemiro’s form. The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their squad and Rabiot’s experience and quality could be a valuable addition.
Rabiot himself has admitted that there were contacts with Premier League clubs, but ultimately decided to stay at Juventus. "It’s true, there were contacts with Premier League clubs, but in the end, I was lucky to stay, perhaps it was the best decision," he said.
The midfielder is focused on the World Cup and is in no hurry to sign a new contract. "The club and I are in no hurry, there’s serenity so we can consider all options," he added.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that Rabiot’s agent’s hint is more than just a coincidence. With the transfer window open, it’s not impossible that we could see Rabiot donning the Red Devils’ jersey in the near future.
