Manchester United Fans Spot Something Worrying About Noussair Mazraoui’s Arrival
Manchester United are set to welcome Noussair Mazraoui to Old Trafford, but some fans are already raising concerns about the Moroccan full-back’s fitness. The 26-year-old arrived in Manchester on Monday morning to undergo medical tests and sign his contract, but footage of his arrival has sparked worries about his walking ability.
In a video shared by Sky Sports journalist Ben Heckner, Mazraoui can be seen walking with a slight limp, which has left some United fans worried about his potential fitness issues. "Is my bro limping? Or is it a cool walk/strut?" one fan asked on Twitter, while another commented: "Is he injured? Kinda walking like it."
Mazraoui has previously worked with United boss Erik ten Hag at Ajax, where he played under the Dutch coach between 2019 and 2022. The full-back has a wealth of experience, having helped Ajax reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2018-19 and winning the Eredivisie title in 2021-22.
However, United fans are concerned that Mazraoui’s injury issues could affect his performance on the pitch. "He’s not gonna pass the medical is he?" one fan joked, while another wrote: "It seems like he is limping, I hope that he is ok."
United are hoping to complete the signings of both Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt so that they can play in their Premier League opener against Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday. The signings are seen as a major boost for the Red Devils, who finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
But for now, United fans will be keeping a close eye on Mazraoui’s fitness and hoping that he can overcome any potential issues to make a successful start to his Manchester United career.
