Real Madrid’s Preseason Tour Takes Shape: Mbappé Out, Youth Players In
Real Madrid’s highly anticipated preseason tour of the United States has kicked off without two of their star players, as Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham are taking a break following their Euro 2024 exploits.
The French forward, who recently made the switch to Madrid as a free agent, has been granted time off to recover from his semifinal defeat with France. Bellingham, on the other hand, is also taking a break after England’s underwhelming performance at the tournament.
But Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has arrived in Chicago with a wealth of talent, including Brazil teenager Endrick, who recently joined the club from Palmeiras. The 18-year-old prodigy has been included in the 26-man roster and could make his debut against AC Milan in Chicago on July 31.
Vinicius Júnior and Rodrygo Goes, both Brazilians, are also in the squad, although they’ll join the team later this week.
The Real Madrid boss has also opted to bring in 12 youth players, giving them valuable game time and experience against some of the biggest clubs in the world.
But for now, Mbappé will be watched from afar, expected to team up with the team after the U.S. tour and make his debut against Atalanta in the European Super Cup on August 14.
The road to the European Super Cup is about to get underway, and we can’t wait to see how this young Madrid team performs. Will they be able to challenge the likes of AC Milan and Barcelona?
