The World Cup winner was seen on camera in a confrontation with NYCFC assistant coach Mehdi Balluchi after the final whistle. He placed his hand behind the coach’s neck twice.
MLS said in a statement that his actions violated the league’s “Hand for the face/head/neck of a rival policy”.
