Cristiano Ronaldo has named the team he thinks are most likely to win the Champions League.
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has not featured in the Champions League since moving from Juventus to Manchester United and then moving to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr in January 2023.
Nevertheless, Ronaldo is a great competition, holding the record for most appearances (183), goals (140) and assists (42) in Champions League history.
The Portugal star has also claimed the title on five occasions – once with United and four times with Real Madrid.
And speaking to the media during an appearance at the Globe Soccer Awards earlier this month, Ronaldo backed Los Blancos to retain the Champions League this season.
“If you want to bet on a team in the Champions League, bet on Real Madrid,” Ronaldo said.
Real won a record 15th Champions League title last season by defeating Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley.
However, with two rounds to go in the opening Champions League league stage, Real are in real danger of crashing out of the competition.

Teams must finish in the top eight to gain automatic qualification to the Round of 16, while the teams ranked ninth to 24th will enter a two-legged play-off in February, with the winners taking the other eight places.
Teams ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated from the competition and will not gain entry to the Europa League.
Real are currently 20th, having secured their first win in three by beating Atalanta in the last game-week of the competition.
The Spanish giants’ final two matches of the competition will be against 32nd-placed Red Bull Salzburg and seventh-placed French side Club Brest.
