Cristiano Ronaldo has named only three Manchester United players as ‘top professionals’ as he discusses his second stint at the club.
Earlier this week, Marcus Rashford appeared to hit back at rumors about his lack of professionalism while speaking to journalists henry winter About being “ready” for a new challenge.
He said, “I think I was misunderstood, but I have no problem with it.” He said, “I am a very simple person. I love football. This has been my life since the beginning.”
Rashford was left out of Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad for the Premier League clash against Manchester City last weekend, raising questions about his attitude and professionalism.
Amorim confirmed there were no disciplinary issues behind the decision to leave out both Alejandro Garnacho and Rashford, but he appeared to question their performances in training.
That being said, Ronaldo did not mention Rashford as he name-checked three players he believed were “top professionals” during his second spell at Old Trafford.
However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner praised his fellow Portugal international Diogo Delot as someone who was professional, and inspired him to stay at the top level for a long time.
Lisandro Martínez and Casemiro, with whom Ronaldo played at Real Madrid, were also singled out for their dedication.
When Ronaldo was asked during his infamous interview with Piers Morgan which players he admired, he replied: “At Manchester United I can mention Dalot, he is young but very professional, but I There’s no doubt he’ll last a long time in football because he’s young.” She’s smart, intelligent and she’s very professional.”

Ronaldo also criticized the younger generation of players in today’s game, saying they lack the ‘hunger’ players had when he arrived.
“I don’t think they don’t respect more experienced players or older players, but they live in a different era. I can say the mentality is not the same for my 12-year-old self,” he said. ,
“Their hunger [is different]I think they have things more easily, everything is easier, they don’t suffer – and they don’t care.”
