The Wait is Almost Over: Football Manager 25 Trailer Drops!
After months of hard work, Sports Interactive has released the first trailer for the upcoming Football Manager 25, and it’s being touted as the biggest revolution in the series in generations. The trailer shows glimpses of the new unified player animation, which, if you ask me, is going to bring you even closer to the on-field action.
One thing that’s caught my eye is the switch to Unity, a game engine powerhouses like Fortnite and D&D. This means improved visuals, smoother performance, and a revamped UI designed with insights from player engagement data. In short, the new FM25 aims to be slicker and smarter without sacrificing the in-depth detail we love the series for.
Football buffs will be thrilled to see real-life player movements emulated in the game – talk about authenticity! Fans of the Premier League (including yours truly) get the added bonus of featuring all 20 topflight clubs, thanks to their recent multi-year partnership agreement. And, yes, women’s football finally breaks its way into the mix, joining the men’s game in one unified digital environment.
So, what’s the release date we’ve all been waiting for? Drumroll, please… Football Manager 25 drops globally on November 26, with FM25 Touch coming to Nintendo Switch just a week later. It seems like Sports Interactive saved the best for last this year, with even their Mobile version set to stream exclusively on Netflix (curious to see how it turns out!).
To borrow the words of studio director Miles Jacobson, we’re just scratching the surface of what’s to come from FM25 and what this new era of improvement holds for the beloved FM franchise. "FM25 is just the starting point for the studio’s next 20, 30 years," he said in his announcement. "It gives us a real sense of achievement…"
