Record-Breaking Serie A Forward Reveals Manchester United ‘Dream’
Manchester United fans, listen up! A record-breaking Serie A striker has dropped a giant hint that he’s plotting a move to Old Trafford. Nikola Krstovic, the 24-year-old Lecce phenom, has made his ‘dream’ clear and it’s none other than the Red Devils.
Krstoic’s comments didn’t come out of left field, as he’ve been enjoying a meteoric rise in Italy. Capped nine times for his country, he’s found the net nine times already this season, adding fire to his transfer speculation blaze.
From Montenegrin Wunderkid to Serie A Sensation
Krstovic wasn’t always the hot young talent he is today. He made his competitive debut for Zeta at a tender 16 years of age, becoming the youngster ever player to feature for the Montenegrin First League. He did the same in the Russian Super Liga and Slovakian Super Liga, before becoming the first player in Lecce’s history to score in his first three games.
Fast forward a few years, and his £3.3m transfer to Lecce has proven to be savvy business. Krstovic has since become the third-highest scorer in Montenegrin history with 23 goals in his 43 appearances.
As he looks to the Premier League, it’s his ‘dream’ to link up with Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United. Talking to Sport Witness, Krsotiv revealed it’s a move he hasn’t ruled out: ""After the match against Torino, he (Manager Mirko Vucic) told me ‘think about the next one’… My dream is to play for Manchester United,’ he said."

While Krstoic’s ambition is tantalizing, Manchester United fanatics should keep their caps on. As the Dutchman himself once said "dreams are not strategies." United have a slew of talented forwards already fighting for a starting spot under Ten Hag. Can Rasmus Hojlund sustain his impressive form? However, Krstoic did hint that his current loan deal with Lecce might not be his stay. "It’s the second year here in Lecce. I’m very happy, both myself and my family. But let’s think about the present."
