Kylian Mbappé’s Twitter Account Hacked, Pro Cryptocurrency and Controversial Football Posts Appear
Kylian Mbappé, the French football star, recently found himself at the center of a social media storm when his Twitter account was hacked. The incident occurred early on Thursday morning while Mbappé was in Spain, and it caused quite a stir within the football community.
The hackers took control of Mbappé’s account and posted a series of tweets promoting a cryptocurrency called ‘$MBAPPE.’ The posts also included messages about Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham, as well as a rivalry-related tweet about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The tweets were quickly noticed by Mbappé’s followers and sparked controversy online.
One of the tweets praised a United fan account, @UTDTrey, as "the best account on ft," while another tweet said, "Manchester is Red." When a user asked whether Mbappé preferred a move to London, the hacked account responded with, "London is s*** bro." Another tweet favoring Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi called Ronaldo "the greatest football player of all time" and included a derogatory term to insult Messi.
The tweets have since been deleted, but they added fuel to the ongoing debates about the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry, particularly with Mbappé now playing for Real Madrid. The 25-year-old recently made his La Liga debut for Real Madrid, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Mallorca on the opening day of the new season.
Mbappé, who completed a blockbuster move from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, showcased glimpses of his brilliance in his first league match in Spain, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to secure a victory.
