In a shocking turn of events, Ivan Toney’s future at Brentford is hanging in the balance, with rumors swirling that the talented striker could be on his way to Saudi Arabia. The numbers are impressive, to say the least. Unsurprisingly, the top three earners in the Saudi Pro League are the usual suspects – Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema – with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner pulling in a staggering £171.1 million a year.
For Brentford fans, the prospect of losing Toney is a tough pill to swallow. Speaking on Sunday, manager Thomas Frank said, "Of course, Ivan is a top player, he has been fantastic for us for four years, but we showed last season we can cope without him." It remains to be seen whether Toney will indeed make the move, but one thing is certain – the Saudi Pro League is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
